How to use the Constellation Creator

Click anywhere to dismiss this and start drawing.

Place: Click on the canvas to add stars (max set by "Stars to place"). Clicking near an existing star reuses it.
Drag: Switch to Drag to move stars. Hold Shift to lock horizontal/vertical movement.
Connect/Close: Toggle "Connect in order" and "Close the shape" to build constellations & polygons.
Branch: Add extra segments: pick a starting star, then click an existing/new star to connect.
Snap: Enable 8px snapping for tidy layouts. Use Auto-place Grid/Random to bootstrap layouts.
Export: Copy or download a clean, standalone SVG with viewBox, circles, polyline/paths.
Shortcuts: Backspace undo • Esc clears all • Toolbar toggles labels/guides.
